    Two art thieves entered the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston at 1:24AM. They stole 13 pieces of rare artwork valued at about $500 million. The thieves were disguised as policemen and were able to talk their way into the museum and detain the guards.The most notable among the missing were 3 Rembrandts, one Vermeer, and five Degas. To this day, the case is still unsolved.

    Two German tourists were hiking in the Otzal Alps when they discovered Europe's oldest mummy sticking out of the ice. The iceman was named Otzi and had been naturally mummified by the ice. He had been in the ice for approximately 5,300 years. Research on the body and the artifacts reveal much about life of Copper Age Europeans.

However, 84 stayed in the compound. 2 months later, the compound caught fire, killing 75 of the people still inside, either from gunshot or the fire.

Diana's boyfriend and chauffer were pronounced dead at the scene. Diana had suffered major injuries to her head and chest. She died on the operating table, while her bodyguard survived with severe injuries.

"Titanic" won a total of 11 Oscars along with 116 other awards, plus 63 nominations.
