    The world's first nuclear explosion occurred in New Mexico. At about 5:30 am, 18.9 kilotons of power was released. Asphalt around the explosion sight turned into green glass. Tours are opened twice a year to look over the site.

    Hiroshima was bombed by the order of President Truman. Around 80,000 people were killed in seconds. This catastrophe ended WWII.

    Three days after the Hiroshima atomic bomb drop, Nagasaki was also bombed. This bomb, dropped by the US confirmed the surrender of Japan. The force of 22,000 tons of TNT killed 60-80,000 people.
