Francis Pegahmagabow was a soldier at the army and one of the original members of the first Canadian Infantry Battalion. He had a terrible experience at the trenches where the German had a poisonous gas and had lost half of his men but manage to hold on and make it through.

After the war had ended the government had added taxes to most popular products like tobacco, alcohol, etc. Then the taxes went towards businesses and a tax corporations with $50,000 or even more. For those who don't pay the fine were to have to pay $100 per day.

One nurse named Katherine MacDonald as a nurse but lost her life from an air strike at the hospital. Also another nurse named Mae Belle Sampson and other nurses were returning soldiers back to Canada on the Llandovery Castle then a German submarine torpedoed the Llandovery Castle as lost their lives
