    The British North America Act 1867 is the original constitution document of Canada. It was passed by Parliament of UK and on July 1,1867 the Dominion of Canada was offically born and the day is celebrated as Canada Day. The Act sets the framework for much of the operation of the Government of Canada, the justice system, and the taxation system. Canada became a self-governing Dominion. This act created the modern state of Canada by combning the Provinces of Canada

    The Act was passed by Parliament of UK on the request of Governemnt of Canada to end the need of if any changes are required to be made to the constituion of Canada to be requested to and consented by parlaiment of UK. It is important for a nation to have a constitution because without one you will be very unorganized and people won't know whether or not somthing is legal
