  • the proclamation of 1763

    reserved all the western territory between the Allegheny mountains, Florida, the Mississippi river, and Quebec for use by Native Americans and the king tried to take the colonies freedom away by not letting them settle in he west and this made them very mad.
  • the currency act

    the parliament enacted this to prevent paper bills of credit hereafter issued in any of his majesty colonies from being made legal tender.
  • sugar Act

    this act outlawed the importation of foreign rum and it also put a modest duty on molasses from all sources and levied taxes on wines, silks, coffee, and a other luxury items. Great Britain did this to get the colonies to stop importing with the Dutch and French west Indians and all it really did was make them madder and they still did it.
  • The Stamp Act

    the Stamp Act taxed the colonist on pretty much anything that needed to be stamped liked the newspapers and legal documents and playing cards and dice and almanacs and pamphlets. and the colonists hated it and quit buying stuff that had the tax and the colonies also told Great Britain that they couldn't put those axes on their colonies and this was like the start to making the colonies revolt against Great Britain. which started raising the issue of taxation without representation.
  • The Quartering Act

    this made the colonies provide housing and food for British troops stationed in the colonies and the colonies hated this because now they had people in their homes preventing them from doing what they wanted so some colonist refused he troops passage into their house and they were most likely dealt with or arrested by the troops.
  • Declaratory Act

    the Declaratory Act made it where Great Britain could pass laws for the colonist even though the colonist weren't really apart of Great Britain and the colonists were halfway around the world and it made it where if great Britain told the colonist to do something it overthrew their little government they already had in place. The colonist just got madder and they don't like the way the king is treating them.
  • the Townsend Acts

    this act requires the colonists to pay an import tax/duty on tea, glass, oil, lead, paper, and paint. the colonist reacted to this with the Boston Tea party.
  • The Boston Massacre

    the Boston Massacre was when British troops fired on a crowed of men and boys who were throwing snowballs and chunks of ice at them and the colonists used this as propaganda to get the other colonist riled up to be ready to fight Great Britain because their coming over her and killing our families for no reason so don't show them any mercy.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    the Boston tea party was when a group of 150 people/protesters dressed up as Indians and boarded 3ships in the Boston Harbor and emptied 342 chests of tea worth 18,000 pounds sterling into the water.
  • Intolerable Acts (Coercive Acts)

    the intolerable acts closed the Boston harbor until they payed Great Britain for the tea that was destroyed and another thing the act did was make i where British troops and to be at the meeting for the colonies and it out lawed private meetings without the British present.
  • Quartering Act

    this required Massachusetts residents to house and feed British troops in private homes.
  • the Quebec Act

    this extends the boundaries of Quebec to the Ohio river and guarantees the rights of Catholics and Indians in the region.
