    An English ship called the White Lion docked in Point Comfort, Virginia. There were twenty Africans on the ship. They were seized by Portuguese ships and then later captured by the English. These Africans were brought to help with farming and "dirty work" in the colonies. Picture Cite

    From 1675-1678; this war involved the Indians and the English. Three Indians were killed by the English; this outraged the Indians, thus beginning the war.     This rebellion was between poor and landless colonist and poor enslaved Africans, against the wealthiest political leaders and farmers. The rebellion was led by Nathaniel Bacon because Governor William Berkeley refused to remove Native Americans out of Virginia. Picture Cite

    Salem Witch Trials

    The Salem Witch Trials lasted for 2 years in Salem, Massachusetts. 300 women were accused of witchcraft and 30 of those were hung. Girls would be seen behaving oddly, throwing fits, and being unladylike like. This led New England to believe that Satan had taken over them. The whole city went into hysteria, blaming those around hem and being on edge about their everyday actions. Picture Cite
