    -A law that said that American colonies could only sell their goods to England.
    -Rose negative tensions between the colonies and Britain.
  • Creation of Charlestown, South Carolina

    -Ended up being a place for major rice and indigo production.
    -Named Charles Town in honor of King Charles II.

    King Philip's War

    -The Wampanoag tribe leader, King Philip, had enough of the Pilgrims treating them awfully, so the Wampanoag tribe attacked and stole the Pilgrim's food.
    -Fights go back and forth until King Philip is captured and beheaded.
    -This was the first time the colonies took care of an issue without Britain's help.

    Bacon's Rebellion

    -A small farmer named Nathanial Bacon was angry because the government wouldn't move the Native Americans off of their land so he could have more farm room.
    -The small farmers were going to attack the Doeg tribe, but accidentally attacked a peaceful tribe instead.
    -Native Americans were then mad and burned down Jamestown.
    -The rebellion led to a higher need for slaves.
