    Nathaniel Bacon began a rebellion against William Berkeley in 1675. Bacon organized a militia to attack Native Americans, because Berkeley believed Virginia needed to be friendly to the native tribes. Bacon died in 1676

    Queen Mary came into power in 1689 after the Glorious Revolution. She was the first female ruler in England.
  • Salem Witch Trials

    The Salem Witch Trials begin in February, 1692, by two girls, named Betty Paris and Abigail Williams, who began to throw fits and blamed it on a "witch" who cursed them. By October 140 indicted, 50 confessed, 26 convicted, 20 executed, and 1 man was crushed to death by stones.
