The Mayan castle system was a structure where whatever social position a person was born into was what they stayed as for life. The social positions were Slaves, Commoners, Priest, Kings and nobles. The people who were slaves were forever slave they were never able to upgrade themselves to even just common people. The kings and nobles were the highest of the high. the only people who were allowed to read and write were the priests and some of the nobles.

Chocolate back in Mayan society was a sacred food, that not everyone could get. Chocolate was usually only eaten for special events. The Chocolate then, is unrecognizable to the current Chocolate of the modern american world. the bitter taste was all the rave in the past.

Human sacrificing in the Aztec culture was the sacrificing of people (mostly common people) to appease the gods. It was mostly used to bring good fortune to people in power. The common people usually didn't have a chose in whether they were going to be used, it was almost always forced on to them. The Aztecs felt that they had to give back to the gods for giving them everything. Sometimes they would even tear out their hear to give it to them.
