World War One ends
World War One is the 39th most famous event of the 20th history. On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, Germany decided to sign an aggrement to end World War One. On this day and month every year we have a minute of silence for this very day. World War One was a time of slauter but it saved countrys but unforniually some lost others. -
Mater Maria Catholic College is established
In January 1964 Mater Maria Catholic College of Warriewood was established as an all girls college and the college only went up to year 10. The first boys came to the school in 1982 and in 1983 the college went up to year 12. Sister Pius McMahon was the very first princible from 1962 -1964. alot of the most rememberal people of the college are named after building and sites. -
Man Landing on the Moon
On 20th July 1969 Neil Armstrong became the ffirst man on the moon with the historic words before he steped foot on the moon "Thats one small step for man and one giant leap for man kind". On the surface the austranots had to get used to the zero gravity because it was very different compered to earth. After the trip, when they entered the earths atmosphere they landed in the Pacific ocean and got soon colected by a helecopter and sent back to the US. -
