10 significant events from 1860 to 1865

  • South Carolina Secedes

    South Carolina was the first state to leave the united states to make their own state soon joined by Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, and Texas and left the union.
  • The Confederate is formed

    Most of the southern states decided to separate from the united states and form there own country's called the confederate states.
  • Abraham Lincoln becomes Present

    Abraham managed to get into the office and got the the union to join the united states again and become one whole country again.
  • The Civil War Begins

    The South attacked Fort Sumter and then south Carolina started the war.
  • Union Blockade

    The union blockade is when the unions navy didn't let anything go in or out of the confederacy and later hurt the Confederacy later in the war.
  • Emancipation Proclamation

    Abraham Lincoln made a order to free the slaves and started working out the 13th amendment.
  • The Battle of Gettysburg

    A big battle were north wins and finally starts getting the upper hand in the civil war.
  • Sherman Captures Atlanta

    General Sherman took Atlanta, Georgia and later that year he captured Savannah and destroyed everything in his path.
  • General Robert E. Lee surrenders

    Lee surrenders to General Ulysses at The Appomattox Court House in Virginia in the behalf of the Confederate Army and that was the end of the civil war.
  • President Lincoln is Assassinated

    While attending a play Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Both.
