    this began the War. America and Britain have been growing apart and so on one night 100 British armed men went to take whole amnion. Paul Revere and two others road off into the night and told everyone the British where coming. all the minute men got ready and fought the British. the British ran away from the huge mob of people.

  • Bunker (Breed's) Hill

    Bunker (Breed's) Hill
    a British troop had come into Boston to find that a big group of men had made a fort on top of a hill called breeds hill. they had their guns out and ready to fire. the General was so mad that they went right into battle. the British went up the hill in a line and wouldn't shoot until they could see the whites in their eyes. their was people shooting from their homes as well. after a few time the men ran away because they had ran out of amo.

    British won against the ACA (American Continental Army) who was being led by George Washington. the British seize complete control over New York and isolate the New England away from the rest of the colonies.
  • Trenton-Princeton

    Trenton-Princeton
    George Washington’s army had to cross the icy Delaware on Chrismas Day. the next 10 days they won 2 crucial battles. the Battle of Trenton (december 26), they defeated the formidable garrison of Hessian mercenaries before they had withdrawing. 1 week later he came back to lure British troops south then executed out a very daring night march that took over Princeton on January 3. with this all they took over New Jersey and improved their morale, unity of the army/militias.
  • Saratoga

    18 days apart on September 19th, British General John Burgoyne got a small but costly victory over American troops led by Horatio Gates/Benedict Arnold. his troops strength was weakened, attacked again on the America’s on Bemis Heights on October 7th. they we’re beat and ran away, surrendering 10 days later.

    George Rogers Clark left Kaskaskia against the Mississippi River with around 170 men, with Kentucky militia as well as French volunteers. they traveled over 200 miles to reach Fort Sackville at Vincennes, Indiana. they got their on February 23,1779. killing 5 British-allied Indians in the fort they took it over. the French settlers allied with them and welcomed Clark’s forces. the French settlers fought on both side of the Revolution. Clark made his 170 men seem like 500
  • Bonhomme Richard V.S. Serapis

    this was an American Naval win. this was off the east coast of England. Captain John Paul Jones was the one to lead us to win this battle. England was trying hard to fight off french and spainish ships that they didn't have any time to notice some American ships slipping past them. He started a battle with them and got on their ship to start a 3 1/2 hour duel. his famous quote is "I have not yet to begun to fight!" before sauntering everyone around him that was British.

    this was the worst defeat in the American War. Major General Benjamin Lincoln had to surrender to the British Lieutenant General Sir Henry Clinton and his army of over 10,000 at Charieston, South Carolina.
  • Guilford Courthouse

    this battle lead to key role to the American victory in the war, although the British had won that fight. the British had lost man men in the fight.the British General left trying to take over the area and took his army to Virginia. that October he had surrendered to George Washington.
  • Yorktown

    George Washington to 17,000 French/Continental (America) troop to start a siege know as the Battle of Yorktown against the British General Lord Charles Cornwallis to contingent of 9,000 British troops at Yorktown, Virginia. this was most important battle of the Revolutionary. this battle was the very last battle of the war.
