  • Stamp act

    The stamp act is when a colonist bought a sheet of paper they would have to get it stamp on it. Colonists who refused to buy stamps could be fined or sent to jail. The stamp act was parliament's way to raise money by taxing the colonists.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre start because colonist throw snowballs at the redcoats. Colonist yelled "fire if you dare!'' All of a sudden, redcoats fired into the crowd. Three men were killed in the shooting. After the shooting seven of the soldiers were found not guilty.

    Colonists dumped over 340 tea chests into the Boston Harbor. There was three ships loaded with tea from the British. The Boston tea party made all the acts like tea act, interable act.

    The acts had a lot of effects like the harbor was closed until paid for the ruined tea. They were put on the colonists for a punishment. The royal officials accused of crimes were sent back to Britten for trial.

    Common Sense is a book written by Thomas Paine. It's about how citizens should make laws not kings and queens. 500,000 copies sold without an author's name. Common Sense changed the way people saw the king.
