    The sugar act extended the molasses act making molasses 3 cents instead of 6. Colonists were not very bothered as they themselves were smugglers.
  • Stamp act

    Declared all printed documents must have a stamp unfortunately it wasn’t free. Most where unbothered by this expect for bug paper users like newsmakers who had protest and used violence to justify their problem.
  • Declaratory act

    Declaratory act

    Declared by the British Parliament that accompanied the repeal of the Stamp act. This act had once again angered colonists as parliament could now make laws against the colonists.
  • Townsend act

    Townsend act

    The Townsend act introduced taxes on glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. Colonists again were nit happy and respond with many boycotts with woman joining to boycott.
  • Tea act

    Tea act

    This gave the East India Company a tax break on their tea, which made it cheaper than tea that was being smuggled. The colonists had felt it was unfair bringing the infamous Boston tea party.
