  • Xia Dynasty

    Around 2000 BC, the Xia was established by Qi
  • Shang Dynasty

    Around 1600-1200 BC, the Shang was established by the leader of the Tang
  • Western Zhou

    Around 1000-771 BC, Zhou Wuwang defeated the Shang dynasty , which lead him to establish Western Zhou. It remained standing for about 270 years. It also unified Chinese minorities.
  • Ming Dynasty

    Dynasty lasted from 1368-1644 AD. Founded by Zhu Yuanzhang and it was the last feudal dynasty riled by Han. Over the 276 year span, there were 19 emperors
  • Qing Dynasty

    1644-1911. Established by Manchu people . China's last fuedal Dynasty. Later on it became a semi-colony and semi-feudal society.
  • Five dynasties and 10 states/kingdoms

    Occurred between 907-979AD and it consisted of 5 dynasties being in control while 10smaller regimes (states) attempted to rebel against them.
  • Song Dynasty

    969-1279. Strongest dynasty from 5 dynasties and 10 states. First dynasty and p use paper money as currency.
  • China splits

    Around 467-221 BC, China got into an era of conflicts which caused all these states to go against each other's (Qi, Chu, Yan, Han, Zhao, Wei, Qin)
  • Qin Dynasty

    Around 221-207 BC, became the first unified feudal Dynasty and was founded by Qin. Only last 15 years
  • Xin Dynasty

    8-23 AD was the Xin's short lifespan due to failure rebellion against W. Han.
  • Three kingdoms period

    220-280 AD. This period focused on the confrontation of the Wu, Shu, and Wei kingdoms.
  • Han Dynasty

    The Han life spans was between 206-581 CE
  • Five Hus and sixteen states

    304-439AD was the time when many regimes began to separate, China began to weaken because it kept on splitting up
  • Northern Dynasties

    386-581 AD was the time that regimes (N,E,W Wei) began to unify which was what ended the 150+ years of war
  • Sui Dynasty

    581-618 AD was the time span which the Sui was around for. It was known for it's examinatjon system, which would determine what position citizens would fall under.
  • Tang Dynasty

    618-907 AD. Tang enlarged their territory and bettered their army. Had great achievements in regards to politics, economy, and military based. Their emperors were very wise, which was partly why they were so successful.
  • Yuan Dynasty

    Around from 1271-1368 AD. Discovered by Mongolians. It was the first unified minority in Chinese history. Also had a great economy.
  • Opium War

    1839-1842. China was addicted to Opium because it was a drug that Britain bribed them with. Also, China went to war with Britain for opium but lost poorly.
  • The Meiji Restoration

    1870's-1890's- An era of Japanese westernization, in which helped them become a world power. Went through quick industrialization and defeated China in 1895 for Korea.
  • The Rebellions/movements

    In the 1860's China Is experiencing dark times and began to crumble due to rebellions.
    Rebellion's:
    White Lotus Rebellions, Self-Strengthening movement, Taiping rebellions, The Boxer Rebellions.
