    February 5, 1914 Hitler was turned down for military service by the Austrian Empire for lack of fitness. The Gestapo was ordered to find all files pertaining to this incident and destroy them in 1938 after the Nazis occupied Austria. They couldn't get those files because someone had stolen them.
