On June 28th, in the year 1914, an assassination kickstarted World War 1. Gavrilo Princip, a liberator for Serbia, assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. This resulted in Austria declaring war on Serbia. Allies of both sides then also began declaring war.
