    The Balkan war was to take over the Balkan Peninsula, the Balkan wanted to get taken over by Greece, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria so they could have control over the trade routes, colonies, and more numbers in the war.     After Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand the whole war started. The date the WW1 started was on July 28, 1917, Germany’s troupes were the first to make their move in the WW1. Germany wanted to start off the war to make them look intimidating and have more power over all in WW1. Also everyone wanted to rule the world and be the strongest so they have the power.

    The purpose for this battle was for the Turkish people to get out of the war completely. The people that were involved in the battle were the British, Australian, New Zealand, Indian, and the French. The plan was to knock off the Turkish people and they were at a complete loss with Turkey coming out on top. The start of the battle was February 19, 1915 - January 9, 1916.

    The Lusitanaia sinking was a British ship getting sunk from a German submarine. The reason why the ship was sunk was because the British had lots of ammunition on the ship. The Lusitania was sunk with a no warning shot just straight torpedo to the boat, then the second torpedo the ship went down with half of its crew members.

    Battle of Verdun
    The reason why the battle of Verdun was important was because it was to see if Germany was gonna be the strongest in the war or not. The Germans lost to France and suffered great losses which they couldn’t really recover from. So the whole time it was France going against Germany, another cool part about it is that it’s the longest war in WW1 which lasted from February 21, 1916 till December 18, 1916.

    U.S. enters war
    The reason the U.S joined WW1 was because of the Germans attacking merchant ships bringing resources. President Wilson was the one to decide for the U.S to join WW1. President Wilson declared war on April 4, 1917, he wanted revenge or to teach the Germans a lesson for messing for the U.S. The U.S won the war by getting the Germans in France and trapping them.

    Assassination of Archduke Ferdinand
    This was the main reason why WW1 happened, on June 28, 1918 “Archduke Franz Ferdidnand” both he and his wife were both assassinated. The man who assassinated the Archduke and his wife was “ Gavrilo Princip”, the reason he did it was to free a country called Bosnia and Herzegovina of the Austria - Hungarian rule. Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Archduke was assassinated with a gun, same with his wife which was also assassinated right after him.

    Zimmermann was asking for alliance against the U.S in WW1. The Zimmermann was sent from Germany to Mexico which is probably the best choice because Mexico is right next to the U.S. Germany sent the Zimmerman note in January, 1917, Germany sent the telegram and note through cable services. So if the cable service didn’t work then they would’ve taken way longer to get the message over to Mexico.

    Russia withdraws from war
    The withdrawal from Russia was due to the lack of resources and things just not working out for them. Russia withdrew on 1917 February, Russia withdrew with the “Treaty of Brest-Litovsk.” The person that led the withdrawal was “Vladmir Lenin '', then after they left the war another revolution happened which was the Russian Revolution. Without Vladmir Lenin Russia would’ve been messed up even more with the big losses they already took.

    The Russian revolution happened in Russia from 1917 - 1923, the leader at the time was Tsar - Czar Nicholas 2nd. The reason why the revolution started was because of food reduction for poverty, and government corruption which is when the government does whatever they want. The revolution was for the poor to get back to the government for putting them through all the hard times, fighting for food and working so hard for close to nothing

    The battle of Chateau-Thierry was for Perussians soldiers and to prove that the AEF (American Expeditionary Force) was strong enough. The battle was between the American and French forces, the battle started July 18, 1918 and ended on the same date. The American forces just rushed in and took the Germans out with force and made them flee the country.

The reason for the battle was to make the Germans go back to Germany instead of staying in France. The battle of Argonne started on September 26, 1918 then soon ended on November 11, 1918.

    The Armistice of WWI was a truce between all of the nations to stop fighting on land and sea. The nations fighting in WW1 were Serbia, Russia, Britain, United States, Italy, France. The time of the WW1 was 1914 - 1918, the main reason the Armistice of WW1 was agreed to was the big drop in Germany's army. The man who presented the Armistice of WW1 was a man named “Ferdinand Foch”.

    Treaty of Versailles signed
    The treaty of Versailles was signed to end WW1 and to have peace. The nations that signed it were all of the allies and Germany, it was held in France on January 20, 1920. The treaty was for the whole world to see that the war has ended, that's why they did it formally so other nations wouldn't attack even though they already agreed.

  • First meeting of the League of Nations

    First meeting of the League of Nations
    The first meeting of the league of nations happened in 1920 and they stopped in 1946. The reason the nations started this was to get world peace and make it a safe place. About 70% of the world population participated in the meeting of the league of nations, but there are 4 permanent members (Great Britain, France, Japan, Italy). The first time they held the meeting was in Paris on January 16, 1920.
