In March 1917, Nicholas II gave his throne up as czar. In Russia's first revolution. Even though they picked a new ruler, it was not effective of Russia's serious problems. This caused lots of tensions and made people mad. That is when Bolshevik decided to overthrow Russia's government. -
War Ends
On November 3, soldiers and in the main base of the German fleet, also known as Kiel. Within days workers and solders seized the other German towns.Germany then became a republic on November 9th. Then Germanys leaders new government agreed to President Wilsons armistice. -
Treaty of Versailles
This treaty made Germany accept full responsibility for the conflict. This ment they had to pay the allies lots of money. This also made the give up some of the territory they had in Europe and give up there overseas colonies.
