The Japenese and the Chinese were already involved in a military conflict when the Marco Polo Bridge Incident happened , it caused a full blown war between China and Japan. The Japanese invaded Manchuria. China was aided by Germany , America, and the soviet Union. It ended with the surrender of the Japanese.

Hitler wanted to take back all the land that belonged to Germany and he also wanted to control Poland. Though Poland had a large number their weapons were weak and stategies were outdated. Hitled proceeded to invade and overwhelm the population. Three days later in response to the invastion Great Britain released bombs on Germany.

The Germans used the Blitzkrieg tactic to cause majore disorganization amongst their enemies using mobility and firepower. They used this tactic to invade other countries like France, Beligium, and the Netherlands.

Winston Churchill was convinved America would help them if the French just hung on. While the American President was prepared to take action and help the French his collegues opposed. The Allies and the Nazi's would take any declaration of help from the Americans to the French as war.

The Japanese attacked the base at Pearl Harbor. The Japanese succeeded in destroying Naval ships, battleships, airplanes, also killing 2,000 people, and 1,000 were injured. After the two hour attack America delcared war on Japan. After America's declaration of war, Italy and Germany declared war on the United States.

This was the day when all the superior Nazi officials met to discuss the ultimate solution to their Jewish problem. They put a plan together regarding the cost and all the resources need to carry out the solution. The solution was to kill a large amount of people at a time. Like gas chambers killing 1,000 people a day.

After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the Japanese invaded the Phillipines. In a months time the Japanese captured civilians and American soldiers. The combined army fought against the Japanese for three months until finally surrendering. The prisoners were forced to walk 65 miles to San Fernando where they mostly died.

The Battle of Stalingrad is when the Soviet Union successfully defended their city. They stopped Germany from entering Russian any further. This battle also helped the Allies and was the turning point of the war. It was also considered the bloodiest with casualties up to 2 million.

In a ghetto located in Warsaw, Poland, were Jewish prisoners who formed the Jewish Combat Organization where they snuck weaons into the Ghetto. When Nazis' arrived to take more prisoners they were ambushed. The fighting lasted for days till the Germans retreated. Hitler then sent the SS to destroy the Ghetto.

For this operation, two of the allied powers, United States and Great Britain attacked Germany. During the night, Great Britain bombed Hamburg, Germany, while during the day, the United States also bombed them. During the first British attack 1,500 Germans died. Great Britain's attack alone had more impact than Germany's first five on Britain.

The Allies invade Italy. Upon their arrival the Italians secretly surrenders to the Allies. Italy's goverment wanted peace with the Allies but the German presence in their country made it impossible. The agreement between Italy and the Allies was that the Italians would help the Allies rid of any Germans.

In June 156,000 troops arrived on the shores of Normandy. Their arrival was the beginning of the end of the Nazi regime. These troops were made up of Canadian, American, and British forces. The allies not only defeated Germany but they also liberated most of Western Europe.

The Battle of the Bulge was Germany's attemps of pushing the allied front line from France to Belgium. While the Germans wandered further into the Ardennes , the troops took up a large bulge shape. In the end despite many casualites, America successfully neutralized the German's counteroffense.

Allied Command came up witha plan to bomb the eastern portion of Germany to ruin any chances of transportation or moves of mobility to the Eastern Front. The bombings proceeded in two waves. They not only bombed German industries and troops in Dresden but also civilians.

America really wanted a naval base near the coast of Japan. Iwo Jima was being protected by 23,000 Japanese soldiers. After a month of fighting those 23,000 soldiers were defeated by three U.S Marine Divisions. America won the battle and raised their flag in victory. '

The Battle of Okinawa was the biggest battle of the Pacific War. The Americans were fighting for naval bases that were critical for them to able to invade Japan. This battle involved a lot of men, it included 287,000 American troops and 130,000 Japanese soldiers. The two commanders of these soldiers both died. The victory went to the Allied Powers.

On this day most of Western Europe was liberated and the Nazi Regime was defeated. Both the United States and Great Britain shared and celebrated their victory. The war ended with surrender of the German soldiers. While Germans tried to evade the Soviet Union's grasp most weren't lucky and were taken prisoner. Britain also celebrated the return of 13,000 of their lost POWS.

America had been trying to create and atomic weapon. Planning to use the weapon against Germany they ran a successful test in Mexico. Only it was too late and Germany had already been defeated by the Allied Powers. Even though they defeated Germany, America was still at war with Japan. They dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and later Nagasaki .Japan surrendered.

This day is know as the "Victory over Japan" day. It stands for the day that Japan formally signed documents surrendering to the Allies. After Germany's defeat it only took months for the Allies to also defeat Japan. This officially ended WWII and the Pacific War.
