    The U.S. enters the war after the Lusitania in brought down, causing the deaths of a few Americans. The Germans sunk it with a U-boat. The U.S. used the Lusitania to deliver weapons to Germany's enemies. They failed in their attempt to use civilians as a living sheild.

    It was a draft. Fighting age male U.S. citizens were required to register with the U.S. government in order to be selected to aid the Allies in the war.

    This borad mediated arguments between managment and labor. It promoted saftey and eight hour work days. A young man could choose to work, or risk being drafted.

    President Wilson declares that citizens should minimize consumed food and waste as to preserve as much of it as possible for the soldiers.

    Poeple are either in agreement with the government in full, or an enemy. Punishment included jail time and fines.
