  • Triple Alliance Expanded

    Secret agreement between Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy formed on 20 May 1882 and renewed periodically until World War I.
  • Assassination of Franz Ferdinand

    The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria occurred on 28 June 1914 in Sarajevo when he was shot dead by Gavrilo Princip.
  • Austrian-Hungarian Declares war on Serbia

    Due to the Assassination of Franz Ferdinand , the Austrian-Hungarian Empire declared what was expected to be a short war on Serbia.
  • Germany Invades Belgium

    On the 4th of August in 1914 the German invasion of Belgium was a military campaign which began. Earlier, on 24 July, the Belgian government had announced that if war came it would uphold its historic neutrality.

  • Lusitania Sinking

    Germany waged submarine warfare against the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and the British Royal Navy blockaded Germany. Resulted in the Lusitania being sunken with over 100+ american citizens on board.
  • Verdun Battle

    Largest and longest battle in quite a while. It was fought between between the German and French armies.
  • Jutland Battle

    An indecisive naval battle between German and British fleets. Involving some 250 ships and 100,000 men.
  • Battle of the Somme

    Battle of the First World War fought by the armies of the British and French empires against the German Empire, which never fully finished.
  • US Declares War

    The United States enters into the first World War, declaring war on the Central Powers. This is due to multiple fatalities on ships and citizens due to the British.
  • Russia Leaves War

    Russian setup a Communist government, attempting to make peace with the Central Powers. Resulting in riots to break loose.
  • German Attacks

    A series of German Attacks along the Western Front in hopes to weaken the opposing team.
  • Air Force

    RAF formed in April 1st, 1918. RAF means Royal Air force, in which the British controlled.
  • 2nd Marne Battle

    Second Battle of the Marne, or Battle of Reims was the last major German offensive on the Western Front during the First World War.
  • Surrender

    The Austrian-Hungarian Empire surrenders.
  • The End

    The Central Powers, tired of fighting, sign the armistice that ends World War 1. Which results in a loss for them.
