Canada enters the World War II.
After only 11 days of Germany fighting Canada declares war on Germany, now fighting with Britian and France. Even though Canada entered the war in 1939, the Canadian troops didn't see any real fighting until around 1942. -
Operation Barbarossa
Operation Barbarossa was the code-name for Hitler's invasion on Russia (at that point in time the U.S.S.R.) Before Nazi Germany invaded Russia, the U.S.S.R. were on Germany's side. This intrusion into Russian territory was Hitler's first big mistake, now leading the Allies to eventually win World War II. -
Pearl Harbour.
Japan bombs the United States naval base in Hawaii. -
U.S.A. enters World War 2.
Following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour, President Roosevelt declares war on both Germany and Japan. -

The Dieppe Raid code named - Operation Jubilee was Canada's first major loss in World War 2. -
Stalingrad
After a long fight, Germany is forced to surrender to Russia, from starvation and sheer cold. -
Canadians take Sicily
Canadians take Sicily, Italy during the night. Also known as Italy's underbelly, we were well on out way to winning World War 2. -
Italy surrenders
Italy surrenders to the Allies and now they can drive Germany up out of France and back to Germany. -
Normandy Invasion.
Canada, Britian and the United States all took part in the Normandy Invasion.
Each beach was code named for a different country.

Hitler's Death
Knowing that the war was quickly coming to an end and not wanting to face the same death as Mussolini, Hitler killed himself and his long-time Mistress. -
Battle of the Atlantic Ends.
After both a war on land and in the ocean, the Battle of the Atlantic ends. -
V.E. Day
Victory in Europe has been declared! Germany surrendered and people all around the world woke to celebration. -

The United States, approves the use of the new atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan.
