    Archduke and his wife were shot dead by Gavrilo Princip, this is known as "The shot that started the greated war". After his death the four great autocratic empires dissapeared and hurt all of Europe Psychologically and Econimically. Thus followed a major loss in power that Europe once had.

    After the Germans invaded Belgium (Which was known as a neutral state) Germans did not back down after noticing Britains involvement so war had been declared.

    The Lusitania was a ship used to transport people across the Atlantic since 1840. A Germen U Ship fired a torpedo directly at the ship which caused 128 people to die. Once the English discovered were the missle was fired from; war only struck closer.

    Zimmerman Telegram was a proposal of a German-Mexican alliance that suggested mexico should try and reclaim there territory by starting a war with America. This was Leaked to president WIlson and the US public becuase they knew the effect it would have on the US public opinion and more likely to draw the US into war.

    Great Britains war with Germany, The Sinking of the Lusitania plus other US ships, and the Zimmerman Telegram all lead the United states into war. America had been paying the funds for the British-French alliance and after 4 years they were still losing. It then became clear the the US had to step in and take action. The real turning point was when the Germans unrestricted Sub-Marine warefare which impacted the American overseas trade buisness.
