Battle of Verdun
This was a battle between German and France but other countries had gotten invovled, one for example was Britian. The German chief of general staff created a plan to attack France. They would enter through France's historic narrow land. The battle lasted over 10 months.
The importance of was that it would change the course of war in World War 1. The number of deaths in Verdun caused by the and the impact this had on French army was two of the primary reasons Britian had started another battle. -
Implementation of unrestricted submarine warfare
Submarines would sneak up to thinks like vessels, like freighters and tankers, also ships too. Submarines would try and sink the vessels and ships. The first attacks though didnt start until Febuary 1915.
The importance of this was that Britian had created the blockades, but the u-boats could break them down. Germany thought that it would stop the United states from coming in and helping Britian because the U.S didnt already didnt like the blockades. -
Zimmerman Telegram
It was a 162 word message that was coded and sent to Mexico by Germany. They pledged that they would become allies with Germany, also would support Mexico with any attack on the U.S they did, and lastly they promised to help recover the land they has lost. Germany was for sure this would work because the U.S had taken Mexico's land.
The importance of this is that Germany wanted a new alliance incase they went into war with the U.S. -
U.S.A entry to WW1
President of the U.S, Woodraw Wilson, went to Congress and requested for a declaration of war between the U.S and Germany because Germany wouldnt stop attacking the passenger ships. What caused this to hsppen was that Germany had sunken a ship called Lusitania, which held over 100 Americans.
This is important becasuse when Amercia joined WW1 all the other nations were worn out so America could help the ones they had alliences with. -
Treaty of Brest- Litovsk
This was a peace treaty signed between Russia and Central powers, It ened their participation in World War 1.
The importance of this was because it stopped the fight between some of the major countries. -

Second Battle of the Marne
This was the last German offense of conflict. The alliences in the was the allied powers (Brisitsh empire, France,Italy) , central powers (German Empire) and the associated powers (USA). Included plans of diversity by German general Erich Ludendorff to try and win WW1. In the end of this battle killed 168000 German soldiers, 95000 French men, 13000 BEF soldiers, and 12000 U.S people.
The importance of this was that Germany had failed to win and began respecting the war as a whole. -
Armistice
This was an agreement between France, Britian, and Germany in order to stop fighting. Germany took blame and had to pay for all the damages.
The importance of this was that it had ended the fighting between countries, which stopped world war 1.
