The Selective Service Act is passed allowing the registration and draft of males between the ages of 21 and 30. This immensely effected the war because it allowed the United States to force Americans to serve in the war which increased the strength of our armies by having more active men serving in the army. -

The Espionage Act is passed by congress to prevent spying. This effected the war by creating a level playing ground because neither side was ahead of the race by knowing each other's plans for the war and making further attacks fair game. -

The Treaty of Versailles
The Treaty of Versailles is signed under the terms in which Germany is required to take the blame for the whole war and to surrender it's oveseas colonies and pay the total war debt of thirty two billion dollars. -
The downfall of President Wilson
President Wilson suffered a stroke in Colorado on a crosscountry tour to promote popular support of the Treaty of Versailles and The League of Nations. He decided to keep his reign as president even with his poor health condition instead of turning his power over to the vice president.
