A time period when thinkers came together to discuss ideas. This event took place mainly in Europe from around 1650 to the late 1700s. -

This Empire consisted of people with the Izlamic culture. This time period brought together different parts of India and Pakastan. This changed many aspects of the Islamic culture. -
French Revolution
This event happened because of bankruptsy and a bad leader. King Luis XVI was in charge, and he married the country France hated, Austria. This was one of many effects that contributed to the French people rebeling against the government/king. -

This group was made up of the 3rd estate people. They all got together and discussed their problems with the 1st and 2nd estate. They refused to stop until their demands were met. -

This event marked the time period when Maximillien Robspiere murdered hundreds of people to try to eliminate any enimies of the French Revolution. This took place in Europe. -
Rise of Napoleon
Napolean was a general who was appointed his power by the Directory. His rise came when he went on a winning streak and came home to make a coup d'etat. After this Napolean had complete power. -
Hatian Revolution
This event happened when slaves of colonies rose up against the mother countries that had conqured them. Thay eventually beat them with the help of allies. -
War of Knives
This was a naval battle off the shores of Haiti in the middle of the Haitian Revoloution. -
Congress of Vienna
This was created right after Napolean was defeated by the European powers. This was the first time in a while that the European powers came together, they gave back the conqured land by Napolean and made alliences. This was genrally made to not let one person come to full power again. -
Opium War
This event occured because England was selling Opium to China. China was becoming adicted so they started a was to try to stop the trade but China lost and was forced to sign a treaty saying that Britian could get special trading rights. -
The Treaty of Nanjing
This treaty was signed to end the Opium War. It stated that Britian would get the island of Hng Kong and recive special trading rights. This led to other countries wanting parts of china. -
Matthew Perry Goes to Japan
This was when Matthew Perry, and American, went to Japan to demand trading rights. If they refused, then the US would attack Japan. -
Treaty of Kanagawa
This was a treaty between the US and Japan about trading rights. The US forced Japan to trade with them. -
Berlin Conference
This was when European powers got together to divide up Africa and who would get which part to colonize. -
Boxer Rebelion
This event was caused by fouign inflience. There were Christian Chinese people, so the the Chinese people who followed thier native religion got abgry and led an attack to get rid of the forign infuence.
