  • Day 1 - Cat Napping

    On the first day of work experience I arrived at the location and was introduced to my supervisor Melissa she walked me through how they run the company on a daily basis and showed me where everything was and how to complete the tasks. After she finished that she then went on to get me to start stocking the trolley for what we needed for the day, this included gathering food, water, towels, blankets and litter. Next I went on to actually cleaning out the enclosures with the help of Melissa.

  • Day 2 - Cat Napping

    On my second day at work I completed a list of chores to do such as continuing to clean out enclosures, feeding the cats, vaccuming, paperwork and restocking. After I had finished doing all my jobs I was given the chance to play around with the animals, tending to each ones needs.

  • Day 3 - Cat Napping

    Day three at working at Cat Napping was very similar to day two but in addition to everything I had done I was shown how to record information about the cats onto the medical board and such. I also had to prepare new enclosures for the arrivals of that day. I got to witness how they prepare and organise their paperwork and payment.

  • Day 4 - Cat Napping

    Day four at Cat Napping welcomed the owner and my employer into the cattery for the day. I proceeded to complete all my chores I had been asked to do from previous days and once I had completed those I had been given a "new" job to complete which was tyding/cleaning the outsides of the enclosures, I also got to help Ebony and Melissa catch a cat that had gotten out of it's enclosure which proved to be difficult but work out in the end.

  • Day 5 - Cat Napping

    On my last day of work experience I completed my usual jobs and did some washing, re stocked everytthing, vaccumed and when I completed all of that I got to interact with all the animals. I then went around and checked on all the cats to see how they were doing and once I had done that it was time for me to go home. That was my week at Cat Napping Suburban Retreat.
