The spinning frame's job was to produce stronger threads of yarn made of cotton. The spinning frame was an improvement from previous ways to make threads but was later replaced by the cotton gin. • James Watt

    James Watt
http://goo.gl/Zevr4http://goo.gl/omynj James Watt improved on the Newcome steam engine. The new and improved steam engine helped reduce the overall heat in the engine which allowed it to run a lot longer than normal. The reason it was very useful is because steam engines were used for transportation like boats. With the more efficient steam engine Watt created they were able to export goods to places further away.

  • Interchangeable Parts

    Interchangeable Parts

He created interchangeable parts to the army's muskets. Which helped a lot because their guns often broke down. While Britain's soldiers were stuck in the middle of gun fire the colonies soldiers were changing parts and firing back faster than Britain. Helping the U.S dominate the war.
  • Robert Fulton

    Robert Fulton
http://goo.gl/yB4UJ Robert Fulton had taken James Watt's steam engine and decided that he'd make more out of it. Fulton decided that he would creat the steamboat that carried export and import goods. The boat made it's first run in the Hudson River in New York for a total of 150 miles taking about 30 hours including a stop. The boat was called the Clermont but was not the first steamboat built. Yet it was the first boat affordable enough for passangers.
  • George Stephenson

    George Stephenson
http://goo.gl/Col3D George Stephenson expanded off of James Watt's steam engine as well and created the steam powered train. The new train allowed them to use less coal and lowering prices. With the continuous upgrades on the engine the train was able to travel longer than steam boats. But also creating a lot of pollution in the atmosphere as long as the steamboat.
  • Samuel Morse

    Samuel Morse
http://goo.gl/z5lydhttp://goo.gl/PrPDk Later on in the industrial revolution to the new country of America, Samuel Morse proved that signals could be submitted through wire. He created the telegraph which could send messages through wire then onto a paper also creating the morse code, The morse code was the system used to know what the message said from the telegraph. The telegraph required many long lines to another telegraph to transmit the message being sent.
  • Thomas Edison

<a href='http://goo.gl/Jz6M8' > Thomas Edison is probably the main reason that most of our current day and past time technology was made. He created the lightbulb which not only let people see at night, but let them see new inventions they could create. He used many filaments to see how it would make the lightbulb light up. Once finding the right filament he'd reuse it creating light.
