Werner Heisenburg contributes to a German atomic program
From 1941 to 1945 Heisenburg worked to contribute to a German atomic program. During WWII the German’s wanted to compete with the Manhattan project on creating a nuclear weapon. Towards to the of 1942 Heisenburg spoke with Nazi architect Albert Speer, “A bomb cannot be built before 1945”. In 1944 numerous German scientist were in custody, also leading up to the German’s declaring they would not come out on top. -
