Web 2.0 events

  • iMac

    iMac
The imac has impacted my life because this computer was when I first learned about using computers, and playing games.
  • Wikepedia

    Wikepedia
Although anyone can go onto wikepedia and edit anything they want to, the website itself is very resourceful even though some of it may not be completely accurate. I use wikepedia a lot to find information.
  • Ipod

    Ipod
Apple introduced the first ipod. The ipod has impacted my life a lot, I went from a nano, to an ipod touch, to an iphone.
  • iMac G4

    iMac G4
The imac G4 was exciting because it was even better than the first one. I used to play games on this computer when I was little, and it is amazing to see how things have changed.
  • Myspace

    Myspace
Even though I was not old enough to have a myspace, I still heard stories from my parents of how dangerous it was to have one, therefore, I was very scared of myspace because I knew it was a website where people can find out your personal information.
  • Facebook

    Facebook
Also known as "the new myspace." Facebook has had a great impact on my life. I first heard about facebook when I was in 6th grade when my brother had created one when he was going off to college, so, ofcourse, I created one too- and then got in trouble because I was not old enough to have one. I created one a year later when my friends had began to hear about it, and from there facebook had become the biggest social media website.
  • Youtube

    Youtube
When youtube was launched, I remember that was all I did non-stop for a good couple of years. I cannot remeber how many times I would search things onto youtube- songs, mostly. I still use youtube to this day- Youtube is personally one of the greatest inventions in web 2.0 history.
  • Twitter

    Twitter
Twitter has impacted my life a lot. I created a twitter about two and a half years ago and I just recently deleted it because it became too much of a distraction. Some people refer to twitter as "the new facebook" because no one really uses facebook anymore. In my opinion, if twitter has not already, it is starting to take over social media.
  • Iphone

Apple introduced the iphone in 2007, I remember this day like it was yesterday. There was this new thing called the "iphone" and apparently it was "like an itouch that you could make phone calls on." Today, I own an iphone, and it is arguably the most distracting and time- consuming thing, but also, very useful.
  • ipad

    ipad
Now that apple had created the itouch, then the iphone, and now the ipad, people started to realize that apple had been taking over the technology world. I personally do not own an ipad but my grandma does and just like the iphone, it can hold music and apps and almost anything else. Unlike a computer, it does not have microsoft word, but there is probably an app for that. Unlike an iphone, it cannot make calls. It can send and recieve messages via email or imessage.
