Melba is picked to intergrate schools in Little Rock
Two years earlier Melba had signed a paper volunteering to be placed in the intergration process. On this date while on vaction in Cincinnnatie her family is informed Melba will going to the all white Central High nect school year. -
Labor day
Melba has picknic with her family. That night her family receives threating phone calls and her grandma stays up by the door with a shot gun.

First day of intergration
Melba and her mother go to Central on the first day of intergration only to see a huge violent mob of protesters. They see Elizabeth Eckford alone trying to enter the school. Melba and her mom are chased by the violent mob.

Court rules no more delays in intergration
Melba and the other students that are being intergrated go to a court hearing to testify for intergration. Judge rules for intergrtion to offically begin the following monday -
first day of Central HIgh
Melba starts Central and is bombarded with threats and attacks a group of women even jump a fence to attck her. Two teacjers show compassaion a gym teacher and a short hand teahcer Mrs. Pickwick. The mob of people breaks into the school and the students are escorted out.

Fourth day of Central
Melba and her classamtes are being protected me armed gruards sent my the president. Althoug they do not stop the viloence against the studetns they do cuase they white students to back down a little Melba;s guard is named Danny

Soliders are removed from central high
Danny and the others soldiers are removed from the highschool. Segrationalist celebrate this as a victory, Federal govenment deciides not to prosecute segrationalist or deal with mobs outside the school

One of the students Minnijean get corndered and spills her food on an attacker segregationalistuse the incident as a way to get her suspended. the students are invited to a Christmas party held by a noational soriety

Minnijean get exspelled
Five days before Minnijean was attacked again. Studetns used the confusion the follwed the attack to pin the blmae on her getting her exspelled. She is transfered to a private school in New York. The segregationalist students in Central try to provoke the students in order to get them exspelled

Melba finds a friend?
Melba is chased by Andy a very violent students and is saved by Andy's friend Link. However Melba does not know if she can trust him. Over the next few weeks he warns her about when his friends plan to attck but still participates in the protesters activites. -
Melba Meets Link's Nanny
Link ask's Melba to help him take care if his sick Anny but she doesn't fully trust him still, She learns he really doesn;t have negative feeling toward her and they start to become friends. -
paper's post about Melba's mom loses her job
Melb'a mother loses her job for allowing Melba to go to Central. The Paper's repost about it and in a few days her mother gets her teaching job back. -
Final day of school
One of the student Earnest Green is Graduating Melba is worried about his safety. Later in the day Link calls begging to see Melba becuase his Nanny had dies tht day. He insist he run off to the north with him where she will be safe. She tells him everything depends on her staying. -
