U.S soldiers take out and kill hundreds of Vietnamese civilians in their town of Mai Lai. U.S did this to awaken the Vietnamese people to tell them they were there and they should be very scared of what is to come next. It was to take charge of the war.

President Nixon orders the first, of a very large amount, of U.S troops to withdrawl from Vietnam officially. Nixon wanted the troops all to come back and conclude the war. He was taking them back in small groups at a time.

President Nizon announces U.S attack towards enemy locations in Cambodia. Nixon decides he is ready to attack Cambodia, and sends troops their way to fight.

Paris Peace accords were signed to provide a quick cease fire. Paris was not interested in war at the time and proposed their not be war. There was a Paris Peace accord created to agree on a cease-fire, avoiding any way or attacks.

It aslo explained the war and what happened there for those who were un aware of the issues that had taken place.
