A company of troops is led to a small village where they are given the order of "kill anything that moves. The American people, after witnessing this on national television, begin to resent the Vietnam veterans and see them as "baby killers"

Troops are slowly withdrawn from Vietnam and returned home. Due to what happened at My Lai, the veterans did not recieve a warm welcome home. They were harassed by many people and some of them end up commiting suicide as a result.
