The destroyer USS maddox reported being under attack by three north vietnamese torpedo boats. Four north vietnamese sailor were killed, six more injured. there were no us casualties.. This probably gave us confidence knowing that we were under attack, didnt lose and of our people annd killed some of the enemies.
