Johnson told the U.S people and askCongress to send out troops because we had "attacked" by North Vietnam, but in order for him to have the people on his side he leaves details out. At the time Johnson convinces the Congress and gets the votes he needs to send the troops. Not until 1970 does the real truth come out.

    My Lai MassacreThe My Lai Massacre was a masss murder in South Vietnam by U.S. soliders. The victims ranged from civilian men to women to young children. Terrible things were done to the Vietnam people. Twenty six soliders were charged for the acts they participated in. The incident prompted global outrage when it became public knowledge in November 1969.
