On November 22,1963 resident Kennedy was riding in a motorcade as a campaign visit when at 12:30p.m. he was shot in the head where he would later die on the way to the hospital. Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson would later that day be swarn in as president aboard Air Force One. As during this time Vietnam was being held JFK was showing that he was going to pull us out of the war. President Johnson came in he did not pull out of the war but because of the Vietnamese attack on the USS Maddox.
