Workers Strikes
A strike is when workers band together and don't work as a collective unit to hopefully show management and bosses they meant what they say. Many workers were underpaid and had no benefits or were unhappy with their work conditions. Strikes were a way to show they were going to get better conditions and they wouldn't stand for it.
