    The Boston Tea Party was when a group of colonists broke on to the boats carrying the tea in Boston Harbor and dumped all of the tea into the water due to the tax being raised on tea.

    Troops packed their belongings and weapons to depart - their destination, Bunker Hill.

    Andrew Jackson was nominated President of the United States. He won his first battle against the British in New Orleans.

    Polk recieved devestating news and had to relay it to the people, he went in front of congress and announced "American blood on American Soil"
    At that point war was declared.

    The dispute during the 1876 Presidential Election was between the republicans and democrats. The republicans were given a list of things they needed to change, and in return the democrats would peacefully allow Hayes to be president.
