    When Columbus started sailing around- He had a plan to get slaves, and gold. At first, he found himself in Haiti (his base). He sent out expeditions to the interior, and he soon found no gold fields- but he had to fill up his ships to return to spain. So they went out to find slaves, they got around 1,500 slaves. They also picked dogs out, out of 500 dogs, 200 died en route back to spain. The other 300 were sold once they were back in spain.

    Jamestown, Virginia was originally settled in 1607 by some of the first permanent settlers of the Unites States. John Smith was the big boy who made all the rules. They pushed a lot of Indian tribes out of their land in order to expand settlement, such as the Anglo-Powhatans.

    During the seventeenth-century in Virginia, laborers and servants were left with little to no economic independence. Governor William Berkeley fear rebellion. Because “six out of seven parts” were in poverty, angry, and they were armed. Nathaniel Bacon focused his anger at local Indians, which felt they were holding back settlement.     The royal proclamation of 1763 was issued by King George III on October 7th, 1763. After the French/Indian wars. This proclamation forbade settlers to “draw a line” along the Appalachian Mountains.

    The treaty of Paris was a document that was signed by some of the representatives of King George III of Great Britain. Then it was once again signed by representatives of the United States of America on September 3rd, 1783. Which ended the American Revolutionary War.
