    Location- In between New England and Virginia
    What happened?- King Charles the 2nd gave up the land between New England and Virginia.
    Why is this event important?- It is important because it was a monumental moment in U.S History
  • Bacon's Rebellion

    Location- Jamestown Virginia
    What happened?- He started a rebellion to be able to push the Native Americans out of Virginia
    Why is this event important?- It is important because it showed the lengths that people would go to to get what they wanted.
  • Salem Witch Trials

    Location- Salem MA
    What happened?- Women went into mass hysteria and were accused of being witches
    Why is this event important?- This event is important because of the severity and influence on religion and how it caused women trauma
  • Triangular Trade

    Location- Europe, Africa, the Americas
    What happened?- The three countries all supplied each other. Europe gave America and Africa goods that were finished, and the Americas gave Africa raw materials and then Africa gave America the slaves.
    Why is this event important?- It is important because this event ending up leading into one of the biggest events in history which was slavery.

    What happened?- Religious Devotion had become revived and people started having passion for religion once again.
    Why is this event important?- This is important because for a certain amount of time, the encouragement and passion of religion was lacking so it became revived.

    What happened?- Tobacco ended up being exported and had its debut of traveling around.
    Why is this event important?- It is important because tobacco is a huge marketing profit now so it is good to know the origins

    What happened?- The British people had people from American colonies fight the french, along with Native Americans on both the French and British side.
    Why is this event important?- This is important because it last a very long time and caused a lot of land to be destroyed which was later rebuilt.

    Location- Appalachian Mountains
    What happened?- During this, the British people established a border along the Appalachian mountains.
    Why is this event important?- This is important because at that time the U.S. was not fully established.

    Location- Great Britain
    What happened?- they imported sugar and molasses and raised taxes on wine, silk, and coffee.
    Why is this event important?- This is important because it was controversial and difficult for the people because a lot of them thought that it was incorrect

    Why is this event important?- This is important because just from that shot that was fired, it started America and the origin story of America

    What happened?- It was a big factor of the start of the American Revolutionary war, and it initiated it.
    Why is this event important?- It is highly important because when the American Revolutionary War began, it completely altered the way that America functioned.

    Why is this event important?- This event is important because it made America what it is now.

    What happened?- The officials of American colonies, made a declaration in order to declare independence.
    Why is this event important?- This event is extremely important because the Declaration of Independence completely upholds America's morals and something that people who are American citizens are supposed to abide to.

    What happened?- America won this battle, meaning it was George Washington's first victory.
    Why is this event important?- This event is important because it continued to give America more troops, along with a higher status.

    What happened?-The Voting rights expanded meaning that the people of any wealth or status were able to vote

    Why is this event important?- It led to creating different sections of the U.S.

    What happened?- The government declared that people in America are allowed to worship anything that they want to worship and not be tied down to one religion.
    Why is this event important?- This event is important because this was not common for any country in the world and America made it revolutionary.

    Why is this event important?- This event is important because it was ale to establish more government for more balance.

    What happened?- When the constitution was signed by 38 delegates
    Why is this event important?- It is important because it kept on inching closer to having the constitution finalized

    What happened?-The loyalists flee because the British lost and they weren't welcome anymore.

    What happened?- The U.S spent 15 million dollars on the Louisiana purchase to primarily have New Orleans due to its location.

    What happened?- The boat was constructed to be manipulated by an engine. The boat contained twelve paddles.
    Why is this event significant?- It is significant because it was able to pave the way for not only further transportation systems, but faster ways of transportation as well.

    What happened?- Someone who is a huge advocate for war and someone who wants to add to the conflict.
    Why is this event significant?- This is significant because it shows the different sides of war and peoples perspectives

    What happened?- He led the defeat of 6 large British ships from getting to Lake Erie
    Why is this event significant?- it is significant because he was able to put a stop to the British who were extremely strong and sophisticated

    What happened?- Canals were able to create water systems for cities
    Why is this event significant?- It is significant because it was able to expand access to water easier for more people.

    Location- U.S., Maryland to Ohio River.
    What happened?- The first road was built and it extended far for its time from Maryland to Ohio.
    Why is this event significant?- It is significant because it set a trend for more roads to be made and developed. The states were also able to collect funds from the use and the want of more roads because it was a lot easier for travel.

    What happened?- Slavery became banned in the land before the Louisiana purchase.
    Why is this event significant?- It is significant because it was able to keep abolishing slavery, and later ended up setting a trend for the U.S. government for the abolition of slavery.

    What happened?- Neither of the candidates had the vast majority of electoral votes, therefore the House of Representatives came to choose John Quincy Adams.

    What happened?- it was in two separate parties and it started to shape its way into modern politics.
    Why is this event important?- It was important because it paved the way for new-day politics.

    What happened?- Over 46,000 Native Americans were pushed away from their home and they were forced to hike over 1,000 miles.
    Why is this event important?- This event is important because it created mass genocide for the Native Americans and became a crucial part of American history.

    What happened?- There was a massive financial crisis that occurred in the U.S.
    Why is this event important?- This event is important because during this time the country was in a state of depression.

    What happened?- Machines took over the craft of making objects instead of it being handmade.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is extremely significant because it shaped the way technology would advance in the near future

    What happened?- 5 different bills that put a halt at feuds between free states and slave states.
    Why is this event significant?- It is significant because the feuds were still continuous

    Location- Titusville, PA
    What happened?- Edwin Drake drilled the first oil well.
    Why is this event significant?- It is significant because oil is something that is extremely important in today's world and represents the start of the popular demand for oil and the steps the U.S. had to make to develop ways for oil.

    What happened- President Lincoln was elected to be President for the United States
    Why is this event significant?- The country changed completely when Lincoln was elected and his presidency contributed to the Civil War, and the freedom of slaves.
  • The Transcontinental Railroad

    Location- United States
    What happened?- 2 corporations worked on a railroad that stretched about 2,000 miles after Lincoln signed the Pacific Railway Act.
    Why is this event significant? This event is significant because it led to information being able to be spread easier along with easier transportation for products.
  • The Battle of Antietam

    Location- Sharpsburg
    What happened?- The Union won this battle by stopping a Confederate invasion
    Why is this event significant?- Even though the union lost 12,400 men, they still won the battle from stopping something much worse that could've happened with the invasion.
  • Emancipation Proclamation

    Location- U.S
    What happened- Lincoln made a contract in which all slaves shall be free.
    What is the significance?- Slavery was something that lasted years on end, and was a big debate in the U.S. Lincoln changes the dynamic of the United States forever.
  • The Siege of Vicksburg

    What happened?- the Union was able to grasp control of the Mississippi river
    Why is this significant?- The Union started to expand their territory.
  • Shermans March to the Sea

    Location- Georgia
    What happened?-Shermans army invaded a down in Georgia and killed many innocent civilians and burned down towns and shops to make a mark and statement for the army.
    Why is this event significant?- It is significant because of the mark it made on the US.

    What happened?- The North resistance started to grow because a lot of more people joined the abolitionist movement.
    Why is this event significant?- It is significant because it paved the way of modern US.

    What happened?- He was accused of violating basic human rights acts and the rights of the country.
    Why is this significant?- It is significant because it symbolized how the U.S really cared about the rights for their country.

    What happened?- Alexander Graham Bell came up with the idea of a telephone.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is extremely significant because it led to the invention of the telephone which is one of the most technological advancements of our time. It allowed for information to travel even faster than by train or railroad which led to easier information access.

    What happened?- Thomas Edison invented the lightbulb.
    Why is this event significant?- It is extremely significant because it opened new doors to technological advancement and created that type of electricity to where modern day U.S. completely runs off of light and light electricity.

    What happened?- It was to protect Cuba from the foreign interventions

    What happened?- The International Workers of the World, were there to attempt and form one big union for the workforce.
    Significance?- It was significant because they accepted people of all races and gender.

    What happened?- Austrian Duke was assassinated.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is extremely significant because it was the first War with extreme technological development and a lot of death.

    What happened?- A woman joined the Navy in spring 1917.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant because women were starting to gain more and more rights.

    What happened?- The U.S declared Waron Germany which involved them in the War
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant because when America joined the War became a lot more powerful.
  • Prohibition Movement

    Location- U.S.
    What happened?- Prohibition was a movement to abolish alcohol. tIt was mostly led by women. They started this movement because they thought it was important to abolish alcohol because they thought of it as a distraction.
    Significance?- it was significant because it was short lived, because of the money alcohol made

    Location- Tulsa, Oklahoma
    What happened?- there were riots in which burned black owned business', houses, and was so terrible to the point that law enforcement joined the riots.
    Why is this event significant?- this event is significant because it showcases how racial injustice was extremely prominent and the corruption that was faced within the law enforcement.

    What happened?- The U.S President Herbert Hoover won the election.
    Why is this event signficant?- His election was significant because he was able to win over several states by a long shot and was president during the initial beginning of the Great Depression

    What happened?- The U.S became extremely poor after the war which caused the U.S economy to drop and fall into a depression.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant not only because of the condition of the U.S but also how much the U.S changed in the stand of a few years because just a few years prior, the U.S was thriving during the "roaring" 20's.

    What happened?- Due to the amount of mass population growth and grass removal, dirt wasn't able to hold itself together as well and started to form dust storms.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant because it caused many people to die, move out, and suffer.

    What happened?-During the German invasion of Poland, Germans technology was more advanced and their army was more trained that eventually the Polish army plundered and caused for the capital to fall.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant because it was Hitler's first aggression to a country which later led to many other countries being invaded

    What happened?- FDR removed the cash requirement for weapons to be able to allow the U.S to lend/lease arms to any country if ti is vital for the U.S to do so.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant because it allows FDR to ade Britain through loopholes without being directly involved with the war.

    What happened?-Due to Hitler's invasion of Poland, the attack on Pearl Harbor, and the threat to America's democracy
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant because it was a major war and was the first time the U.S felt under pressure and extremely threatened by external forces.

    What happened?- Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japan which caused 8 battleships to go down, 3 cruisers, 4 destroyers, 6 other vessels, 188 airplanes, 2,403 dead Americans, and 1178 injured
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant because it led the U.S to final involve themselves in the Second World War.
  • The D.O.I of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam

    Location- Hanoih's Ba Dinh Square
    What happened?- A speech was given about the oppression Vietnamese were facing and how it was against America's own constitution.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant because it lead into the Vietnam War, and referenced the corruption America's government had if they continued to go against their own Declaration of Independence.

    What happened?- The Truman Doctrine was placed in order to give a helping hand to countries that were going to be put under communistic ideals.
    Why is this event significant?- It is significant because the U.S was willing to completely go out of their way to be able to prevent the spread of communism.

    What happened?- Conflicts arose between the political views of the U.S and USSR.
    Why is this event significant?- It led to America unveiling more of its values along with them altering certain ideals towards their own foreign policies.

    What happened?- America was able to have a sufficient trading system, and was able to support Europe's government.
    Why is this event significant?- It enforced and strengthened the alliances between the U.S and Europe.

    What happened?- Brown was advocating for racial segregation to be put at a halt within the school system.
    Why is this significant?- It is significant because it caused racial segregation to slowly deteriorate and for white and black children to learn together

    What happened- The U.S and Vietnam went to war against each other in order to prevent communist takeover.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant because it was not only a long lasting war, but had a significant impact on the US

    What happened?- The Military intervention in Vietnam was being demanded by many to stop.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant because it shows how a lot of people were anti-war and wanted war, especially the Vietnam war, to be abolished.

    What happened?- The great society occurred during Nixon's presidency and included good healthcare, and benefits for U.S citizens.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant because it shaped modern day society in the United States.

    What happened?- The River was filled with toxins like oils, and other toxic waste which caused the fire.
    What was the significance of this event?- It is significant because it showcases the detrimental effect of toxins and waste.

    What happened?- The area was completely contaminated with toxic waste due to the fact that it was buried underground. It also contributed to pollution.
    Why is this event significant?- It is significant because thousands of families had to evacuate the premises and cost over 400 million dollars in cleanup. After this more people were environmentally aware.

    What happened?- The Nixon committee was accused of stealing private Democratic Documents.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant because it was quickly spread and people started to question Nixon's authority and whether or not he was a crook.

    What happened?- The U.S was using lots of energy and Nixon gave a speech in order to reduce energy consumption.
    Why is this event significant?- This event is significant because the US could have been greatly effected if the amount of energy continued to be used.

    What happened?- A reactor core in a nuclear power plant malfunctioned causing it to release toxins and radioactive gases into the air
    Why is this significant- It is significant because it led people to realize how horrible the power plants were and that the environment should be better taken care of
