  • The Proclomation Line of 1763

    King George III issued this following Great Britain's seizure of French territory after the end of the French and Indian War, This forbade all settlement past a line drawn along the Appalachian Mountains.

    This was a street fight that occured between a patriot mob, throwing snowballs and a squad of British soldiers who fired shots.

    The objective of this act was to undercut the price of illegal tea, smuggled into Britain's North American colonies.

    Political activists destroyed an entire shipment of tea sent by the East India Company, in defiance of the Tea Act of 1773.
