A war fought between the United States and Great Britain over US Maritime rights. Other reasons included the uneven split of land after the revolution and politics. -
End of War of 1812
After the end of the war, officially ended by the Treaty of Ghent the two countries have been at peace for over 200 years. They are allies and have fought in many wars together. Most noticeably WWI and WWII. -
Missouri Compromise
"Compromise of 1820" negotiation over the issue of slavery in Missouri. It would be decided that Missouri would be a slave state and Maine a free state. On top of that all states North of the 36th parallel were free states and all South were slave states.
