  • Half-way Covenant

    An agreement between the church and it's followers was made which required people to preach on order to get their children baptized.
  • Bacon' Rebellion

    Nathaniel Bacon started a rebellion at the age of twenty-nine against Berkeley. He used Indians as scapegoats to gain more rebels. Bacon and his followers attacked several Indian settlements and expanded more land by themselves.
  • Leisler's Rebellion

    A period on which the landholders and the merchants had conflicts which developed a new rebellion in New York.
  • Salem Witch Trials (abolished)

    Salem Witch Trials was a period in which women were the main targets. They were accused of being witches and were executed. The governor later prohibited these practices after his wife was accused. Massachusetts convicted the idea of witches
  • New York Slave Revolution

    Nine whites died and twenty-one blacks who had attempted to escape were executed during this period.
  • South Carolina Slave Revolt

    About 50 blacks tried to escape from their miserable lives. They went along the Stono River and tried to reach Florida (which was owned by the Spanish) and were stopped by the local militia.
