    A declaration written by many great leaders in the pass to announce and to explain their separation from Great Britain. There were 56 delegates who signed this. It was then ratified on the day we still celebrate, July 4th.

    Dred Scott was a enslaved African American who moved from a Slave state to a free state. He filed for freedom because of "Once Free Always Free. He lost the Dred Scott v. Sandford case of 1857 but then he and his family were released.
