    French and Britain fighting over Ohio River Valley.
  • Turning point proclamation of 1763

    Turning point proclamation of 1763
    The Proclamation of 1763 was a British made a boundary marked in the Appalachian Mountains at the Eastern Continental Divide.
    I think this is the first major turning point because this is where the colonist and Britain's relationship starts to go down hill.
    This is because the Proclamation made colonist upset. And after the proclamation everything just starts to worsen because the king passes more acts and laws.
  • Sugar act

    The sugar act is when king George the third put taxes on sugar.
    This meant it was hard for colonist to make profit off of things like rum.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    This act meant that colonist had to pay extra fees for stamps that would go on paper. The stamps where meant to officialize papers and other tings like a deck of cards.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston massacre was when British troops killed 8 colonist.
    This made Boston very upset and frightened.
  • Tea Act

    The tea Act was when the colonist got taxed on Tea.
  • Boston tea party

    Boston tea party
    In response to the tea act the sons of liberty dumped tea into harbor.
  • Intolerable Acts

    Intolerable Acts
    These where laws made to punish for the Boston tea party.
    It included bringing back the quartering act.
  • Battles of Lexington & Concord

    Battles of Lexington & Concord
    This was the first battle and it was known as the shot heard around the world.
  • Olive Branch petition

    Olive Branch petition
    This is when the colonist tried to compromise with the king by a petition. Sadly it was deigned.
