  • Aug 3, 1442

    First voyage of Christopher Columbus

    Departures from Spain and landing on an island in the Bahamas to then name it El Salvador, this trip become his first voyage.
  • Jun 7, 1494

    Treaty of Tordesillas

    A signed agreement between Spain and Portugal to split the newly discovered land of America between both Empires.
  • Establishment of Jamestown

    This became the first permanent settlement by the English in North America.
  • Pilgrims land in Plymouth

    Originally planning on landing near NY the weather ended the pilgrims and William Bradford to land on the Plymouth rock.
  • Maryland granted to Lord Baltimore

    Lord Baltimore helped formed Maryland and make it the land it is today.

    The English Parliament set an Act on the Colonies to pat tax on shipments and trade.
