Treaty of Versailles

  • The end of WW1

As Germany started to become weaker, the leaders of the German army told the German government to end the fighting.
German leader, Kaiser Wilhelm, left his job on November 9.
A few days later, the treaty was signed and set up at the Palace of Versailles.
  • The Fourteen Points

Once the British, French, and USA leaders decided to join together to get Germany to sign the treaty, Woodrow Wilson announced his idea of the 'Fourteen Points'.
These points included many idealistic ideas.
Clemenceau and Lloyd George disagreed with some of them as they thought it would mean being too lenient on Germany.
