  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    The battles at Lexington and Concord were the first military engagements of the Revolutionary War. 49 Patriots were killed, 39 wounded, and 5 went missing. While the British suffered 73 killed, 174 wounded, and 53 went missing.   • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    The Battle of Bunker Hill occured on June 17, 1775, during the Siege of Boston. While the British won, it was still a phyrrhic victory for them.     The Battle of Long Island took place on August 27, 1776 in New York and was a defeat for the Continental Army. The Continental Army suffered 2,000 casulties, 300 men died, 700 were wounded, and 1,000 were captured.     The Battle of Trenton took place on December 26, 1776. It was a decisive American victory. Only 2 Americans died due to hypothermia and an additional 5 were wounded, possibly from injuries linked to something other than combat.     Battles of Saratoga

    There were two battles at Saratoga. The first one was a British Pyrrhic victory, and the second was a decisive American victory.     Valley Forge

    Valley Forge served as a military camp for the Continental Army from December 19, 1777 to June 18, 1778. Diseases such as typhoid, typhus, smallpox, dysentery, and pneumoniaran were rampant in the camp. Soldiers were also lacking clothes, food, and shelter.     The Siege of Yorktown was a conflict between the American Patriots/French toops and British Regulars/German Hessians.
