American Revolutionary War #8
This war was against the controlling powers of Great Britain. The king kept enforcing unwanted taxes upon those living in the United States and the colonists were sick of it. They started the war as a revolt against these political and unfair choices and the reson i feel this is one of the top important would be held because it is the reason we are free today. If we hadn't won the war, which ended in 1783, we would still be under the power of Great Britain. -
Singing of the Constitution #5
The United States Constitution is the supreme law and outline for all other laws in the United States of America. It divides the government into seperate powers, sets the laws standards, and tells how to enforce when these laws are broken. This was signed in 1787 and is still a outline and used for government to this day. -
Louisiana Purchase #9
The Louisianna Purchase is important because it was when Thomas Jefferson bought about 828,000 square miles of land from France, for 15 million dollars. This benifited on the creation of about 15 new states, and is a huge achievement in Thomas Jefferson's, and America's history. It was a big step forwarrd in the creation of this fairly new country, adn helped for it to prosper and grow. -
Indian Removal Act #10
Passed during the presidency of Andrew Jackson, it forced tribed out of the east. These tribed were moved west towards Oklahoma, and they were required to stay west of the Mississippi River. This is important because it showed that we were in charge, and even though it wasn't the right thing to do, we gained more land in order to build onto our new country. -
The American Civil War #4
This started when slave states wanted to stay and it split the country. The war didn't start, however, until shorts were fired at Fort Sumter on April 12 1861. After that, President Lincoln declared to take over this fort and more confererates joined the union. This war lasted until May 9, 1865, when a decloration was signed by both states to abolish slavery and take one big step closer to equality for all men. -
Adding of the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments. #7
The reason i find this important because it is thewritten end of slavery and unequality between men. The 13th amendment is to abolish slavery in the United States of America, which is a big step. This was passed and adopted by December 6, 1865. The 14th Amendment, passed on July 9th 1868, is to declare that any persons born in the United States is a free man, no matter the race. Finally, the 15th Amendment is to declare African American males the right to vote, passed on February 26, 1869. -
Women Declared Right to Vote.#6
The 19th amendment is one of my top choices because now not only did we have men equality, we are starting to earn womens. This amendment stated "the right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex." It was one of the first times women had been looked at and given the chace to vote, and it is a very big step in economical and government times. Now women can run for offices and hold high positions. -
The Great Depression #3
This was a huge econimic downfall following World War II. International trading plunged more then 50% and total unemployment in the US alone was down by 25%. It started in 1929 and lasted 10 years ending in 1939, occuring after the stock market crash of October 1929, it was slowly around by Franklin D. Roosevelt in the 1930's, even though it wasn't fully resolved until 1939. -

The writer and presenter of the speech Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke about his dreams of equality coming upon a land of slavery and hatred. -
Attack of 9/11 #1
My #1 most important event on this list would be the attacks of 9/11. After these attacks, almost 3,000 people were left dead and it had caused at least $10 billion dollars in damage.It happened on September 11, 2001 when two planes crashed into the World Trade Centers, another in the Pentagon and the last landing in a field in pennsylvania.
